This past Friday, Rip Torn, was arrested in Connecticut with attempted bank robbery. Torn was charged with carrying a gun without a permit, carrying a gun while intoxicated, first-degree burglary,first-degree trespassing, and third-degree criminal mischief. The bank he tried to rob was Lancorp Bank in Salisbury, Conn.

Torn was on a $100,000 bail. He is most known for his role as Artie on the “The Larry Sanders Show”. He has recently appeared in 30 Rock, and the film August. Torn has had a troubled past with alcohol, with several DUI’s.

Luckily, the bank was closed when Torn tried to rob it. I know I would be scared if Rip Torn came in with a loaded revolver all drunk. I mean look at the man, looks like he could be the perfect drunk homeless person desperate for anything. He has had money, so I think he was just drunk out of his mind and had no clue what he was doing. How is the star going to get out of this one? Will he be seeing jail time? Possibly could plead insanity, or say that he thought he was in a movie..lol.

Finally, I have something in common with Jessica Simpson. We both fart in public. You know what people, there is nothing wrong with that! You have to pass gas, then you go ahead. It is not healthy holding all that gas build up in your body. Recently, at a business meeting for Simpson’s new jean line she farted during the meeting. She decided to let it go in a room with several people and then had her mom yell at her. Here is what US Weekly had to say:

A source tells Us Weekly that Jessica Simpson had a, ahem, windy moment during a business meeting for her denim line in late January. “While one of the executives was speaking in a room full of five people, Jessica let out a very loud fart,” says the insider.

“Her mother [Tina Simpson] was there, and it prompted her to turn around and yell, ‘Jessica!’ The tension was extreme. No one knew what to say.”

It wasn’t Simpson’s first brush with public flatulence: She famously cut loose on an episode of Newlyweds, telling then-husband Nick Lachey, “You love my stinky ass,” and professed her fondness for between-the-sheets poots (a.k.a. Dutch ovens) to a radio station in 2008.

Maybe someone told Gerard Butler about her gassy fascination! When the actor, 40, with whom she shared a flirty dinner in October, joined her group at West Hollywood’s Boa Steakhouse January 23, he steered clear. “They didn’t sit next to each other,” notes an employee. “She seemed to be nervous around him.”

Cameron Douglas,31, was arrested in July of last year for dealing meth at a NY Hotel. It’s not bad enough your the child of a wealthy television, but you have to had a drug business on the side. He has a 9.25 million dollar townhouse that his mom bought him. Cameron was a target of a DEA sting operation, and turned out he was an international drug dealer.

Cameron pleaded guilty yesterday to conspiracy of dealing and distributing drugs, also heroin possession. He currently faces a minimum of 10 years in prison. Michael Douglas stated last year that he was very disappointed in his son’s recent behavoir. He released a new article in AARP magazine about this issue here:

Michael’s eldest son, Cameron Douglas.. this morning pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute drugs and heroin possession as part of a plea deal which nevertheless guarantees a minimum—minimum—10-year prison term.

The 31-year-old admitted to selling large quantities of methamphetamine and cocaine prior to his arrest last year, which was preceded by a three-year investigation by the DEA.

“I began supplying on a regular basis,” Douglas said in court.

In addition to the conspiracy charge, he also fessed up to possessing heroin. That count came about after his girlfriend was caught trying to smuggle the drug to him via an electric toothbrush while he was under house arrest last summer.

“Yes, your honor,” he told the judge when asked if he knew what he was doing was wrong.
As for what his famous father feels about his possible life sentence, Michael opened up to the AARP earlier this month.

“It’s been very painful,” he said, going on to acknowledge that he wasn’t exactly a rock-solid presence in his son’s life growing up.

“I’ll assume whatever responsibilities I have to. Would it have been better to have been around more? Absolutely. There were absences, and I was no angel.

“Cameron has a lot of his life ahead,” he says. “He now recognizes his own demons and struggles.”

Sentencing for Cameron Douglas is April 27.

The woman who gave me nightmares and made me scared of all midgets, has now passed away. Zelda Rubinstein was best known as Tangina Barrons in Poltergeist. She passed away this morning at the age of 76. The death was due to natural causes. Some other films you may know her from was Teen Witch, Sixteen Candles, and also a regular on Picket Fences.

Just not too long ago Apple released the iPad. I will say that i’m not impressed with what I saw before. I may have had my hopes up. All they did was make a giant iPhone. I was expecting something like the pads in Avatar that the doctors use. I mean when are we going to get to the touch screen see thru glass like the movie Minority Report. This may bring us closer, but it seems that the iPad would be easier to make than the iPhone. You do not have to have as small parts as you do in the iPhone. So what does the iPad do?

The iPad has a 9.7-inch touch screen. It is a half-inch thick, weighs 1.5 pounds and comes with 16, 32 or 64 gigabytes of flash memory storage. The device comes with Wi-Fi and Bluetooth wireless technology, but no mention was immediately made of a data connection through a wireless carrier.

Jobs said the battery lasts for 10 hours, and that the device can sit for a month on standby without needing a charge. Jobs then demonstrated on how to surf the internet with Safari and how to type e-mails. He stated that it will be better to read books from and watch movies from instead of a laptop.

Taylor Swift has come up with some crazy ideas for her new place. She will be self-designing her Nashville apartment. She is have a moat pond built around her living room fire place, and she plans to add exotic koi fish to the centerpiece. Not many people will find a moat inside the home, usually outside. Her penthouse is 4,062 sq. feet. This information was released in this weeks Rolling Stone.

Swift said the luxurious 18-story apartment building, Adelicia, will have a stepping stone in the pond and then you walk up a spiral staircase which would take you to a human sized bird cage observatory. Her ceiling is painted like the night sky too. Swift makes roughly 18 million in earnings, and it will only grow. I’ll be looking forward to seeing it on MTV cribs.
