Yesterday at the Patriots vs Ravens game, the legendary Steven Tyler had the opportunity to sing the National Anthem. Unlike previous people singing as of recent, Tyler remembered all the words and had no mess ups. Of course the problem that people are gripping about is that the rocker didn’t sound very good singing the National Anthem.

I will agree with them, but I am not going to say that Tyler is a terrible singer. The National Anthem without any music is just not his thing. I think if there was a guitar or a beat and him singing it would of been great. Tyler has a rocker’s voice and scream, he isn’t the type to have the voice for the National Anthem.

The greatest news in the music word in a long time, Van Halen has reunited. They just released their new video for their song “Tattoo.” After listening to it, I will say it is not one of their better works. I was hoping for something more monumental especially with the stuff in the world today. It is just some dumb song of the same words over and over.

This is the first single from Van Halen’s new album in 14 years. It is also the first once of Roth with Van Halen since 1984. Their new cd will hit Feb. 7th and this man will be buying it. I am so happy the original Van Halen is back and not Van Hagar. I know I will be shelling out the money to go see this legendary band.

Mariah Carey gets a new sidekick in her famous holiday song, “All I Want For Christmas.” Young fans will rejoice to see Carey is joined by young Justin Bieber. The two do a great duet together, and it is a fun video to watch. Bieber’s new hair is an improvement from his past hair. Carey looks amazing as always.

One thing I noticed was that Bieber and Carey’s voices just don’t seem to go well. It just doesn’t mix and go smooth. Another weird thing is how creepy and perverted he looks at her. Wait till Bieber is 18 and have old ladies flirting with him so it doesn’t make it so creepy.

An American Idol’s finalist career could be taken a toll for the worse now that she has seriously flubbed the lyrics to one of the nation’s greatest songs, the National Anthem. One would think that you could not get any worse than Christina Aquilera, but we were proven wrong during Thanksgiving Day’s game between the Detroit Lions and Greenbay Packers.

American Idol runner-up, Lauren Alaina stepped up to the mic and forgot the whole second line of the National Anthem. No mumbles, she just went silent as some crowd members booed in the background. Yes I am sure it is terrifying up there, but if you want to be a professional you need to act like one. Aquilera was already famous and made this mistake, and that in my opinion is a lot worse. This young girl though may see major impact due to not being able to do this though.

Speaking of American Idol mess ups on Thanksgiving Day, Scotty McCreary, the winner was caught lip syncing at the Macy’s Parade.

Sugarland paid tribute to the victims of the Indiana Fair they performed at that had a stage collapse. They performed a free show in honor of the 40 who were injured and the seven who died at the fair.

The concert took place a few miles from the fair grounds that the tragedy happened.

I will say I am not looking forward to the new Footloose film, and I in a way hope it flops and production companies will learn that movies that are only 30 years old are not that old and don’t need remakes. As we get closer to the release date we are seeing the trailers and more about Footloose. Now we have the official remake of the Footloose song by Blake Shelton.

Blake Shelton I will say did an amazing job with the remake, it sounds a bit similar with a nice country vocal. I would not expect anything less from Shelton. Watching the new music video you get to see more of the film, and I will say it did change my mind a little in its favor. At first I thought the new Footloose would be a modern uptake on the film. It is actually a complete remake from the 60′s style. Now, this did make me wonder, if you are not going to upgrade it to modern times, then why remake it at all? Why not rerelease the original Footloose to theaters to try to get the under 20 viewers to see if they like it. I mean that would be the only reason to remake Footloose. I mean everyone pretty much over 20 has at least seen the original, if not that is sad. Anyways, let me know what you all think of the new music video by Blake Shelton

As if Kim Kardashian isn’t already a millionaire, but we found out how she made money off her wedding by receiving so much free services from people. It really disgusts me that people would do this. One, she is super rich why does she need hand outs? It just shows how greedy she really is and how she disrespects the American economy. One person decided to stand up and not give her services for free, and that was Christina Aguilera. Aguilera was asked to sing at the Kardashian wedding for free and turned it down. That may of been the smartest thing Aguilera has done. Of course why would the Kardashian’s want her to sing anyways. I mean Aguilera’s fees should be low considering how low quality her singing is anymore.

This weekend brought the highly anticipated wedding of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, in which no expense was spared on the lavish event. But according to insiders, The Keeping Up With The Kardashian star’s mom, Kris Jenner wanted The Voice‘s Christina Aguilera to perform at the reception, but why didn’t Christina perform? Believe it or not, it was a matter of money!

Money? The Kardashians? I know you are thinking that we must be kidding, but we are not! According to an insider close to Kris Jenner, Kris originally wanted a big name performer like Christina Aguilera or Jennifer Lopez to perform at the wedding, but there was one problem – she was not willing to pay!

With private concerts by both of the singers costing around $1 million, Kris opted not to go with Christina Aguilera or Jennifer Lopez, as she told friends she refused to compensate that much for their time. Seriously? Did she expect either of those talented women to perform for free?

The whole idea of Kris Jenner refusing to spend that much seems ridiculous. After all, we know Kim Kardashian wore not one, but three custom made wedding gowns, the couple had a $20,000.00 cake, and dinner prepared by Wolfgang Puck, but she couldn’t spare for Christina Aguilera? Instead, the wedding guests were treated to a DJ and Earth, Wind and Fire – don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with that, but being that this was the so called “wedding of the year,” we would have thought she would have gotten a bigger name, more age appropriate act for Kim Kardashian and Kris Humpries’ big day.
