Discovery Channel Hostage
So some guy has just gone ape shit on the Discovery Channel HQ. If you have been watching the news lately you have seen that there is a hostage situation going on in the Maryland based building. It is reported that he is carrying a gun and possible explosives strapped to him. Most of the people were able to escape, but unfortunately he does have a few hostages. The Asian man is known as James Jay Lee.

Lee is this crazy environmentalist who has protested the Discovery Channel for years. I do too man, it is boring as shit. I just turn off the tv, does not mean I go and try to blow shit up. Supposedly Lee was arrested two years ago for a protest at the building. He has the craziest demands too.

He states that Discovery Channel does not really care about the planet. Lee wrote on his blog, “All programs on Discovery Health-TLC must stop encouraging the birth of any more parasitic human infants and the false heroics behind those actions. In those programs’ places, programs encouraging human sterilization and infertility must be pushed. All former pro-birth programs must now push in the direction of stopping human birth, not encouraging it.”

What a lunatic. I mean come on man, could you not think of anything better? Tell Discovery that you want to see more monkeys give the reach around in sex videos. Or maybe see the monkey fart in his hand and fall out of the tree. I mean come up with something better then some stupid bullshit of a reason to go blow a building up. I hope they get this guy and throw him in a damn pit with a bunch of horny badgers on lsd.

Crazy Hostage situation at the Discovery Channel

The clothing store, Forever 21, is getting a lot of crap lately now that a video showing how their security staff takes care of things. In Hollywood Blvd. outlet, a undercover security guard tackles a deaf guy and puts him in a choke hold because he could not hear the metal detector go off.

You can see that the deaf guy was in a group of other deaf people and his one friend was trying to fight the security with him trying to show them the receipts of all the items purchased. They were told repeatedly he was deaf and continued to wrestle with him.

The man who recorded this stated this:

Staff must have seen them do something to suspect them of stealing, but that doesn’t have any support or facts. Before I started filming. The Big Black dude in Jeans who mighta been a store detective jumps and tackles the large hispanic deaf guy. from there I remembered my new phone and turned on the camera,

There was who looked to be the manager of XXI that said to turn off the camera because they didn’t want to get exposed for harassing and dealing with a situation that turned sour.

From there, you get to see the turn of events and then in the aftermath, the sorting out of exactly what happen. From what I saw that you guys can’t, the deaf guy in the white shirt was apparently assuring the store with receipts for what he was carrying.

This is a little too much in my opinion. The poor deaf guy probably had no clue why he was being tackled and that is why he kept on fighting. The security guard looks like a normal person with no identification. I know I would be scared crapless and fighting if some one was tackling me. I can see a huge lawsuit off of this one. I mean this guy could easily say he is traumatized. I know I would.

Urban Outfitters Anorexia shirt
A new season of One Tree Hill will be shooting here in coming weeks and with it the return of Sophia Bush to Wilmington NC. Sophia has recently expressed her opinion about a new line of clothing coming from Urban Outfitters. On the shirt line it says “Eat Less.”

Sophia Bush was upset and wrote a letter to Urban Outfitter ranting and raving about a company trying to tell you to eat less so you can fit in their clothes.

Sophia Bush’s Blog stated:

Ladies! This is OUTRAGEOUS. I hope none of you will stand for being told such a thing, in such a way. Being healthy, eating right, and staying active is one thing. Being told to starve yourselves by a fashion company? Not cool.

Urban Outfitters does admittedly have at least some pretty cool clothes, but if you’re bigger than say a size 8 or are anything more than small-chested, good luck finding anything there to fit. I suppose that could be the message of their latest t-shirt, “Eat Less” and maybe you’ll be able to buy/wear our clothes.

Perhaps some of the American population could stand to take the shirt’s advice, but for those impressionable teens who shop at Urban Outfitters, it’s message is more pro-anorexia than anything, especially when worn by an emaciated model.

I have been a supporter of your store for many years, but now I’m through.

I am fortunate enough to star on a wonderful TV show called One Tree Hill. I play a fashion designer named Brooke Davis, who started a campaign on the show called “Zero Is Not A Size” and the outpouring of love and gratitude that came my way from girls and women ALL OVER THE WORLD who have body image issues brought me to tears.

To promote starvation? To promote anorexia, which leads to heart disease, bone density loss, and a slew of other health problems, not least of all psychological issues that NEVER go away? Shame on you. I will no longer be shopping at your stores. And I will encourage the tens of thousands of female supporters I have to do the same. I have fought to boycott BP. I never imagined I would also be boycotting affordable fashion.

You should issue a public apology, and make a hefty donation to a women’s organization that supports those stricken with eating disorders. I am sickened that anyone, on any board, in your gigantic company would have voted ‘yes’ on such a thing, let alone enough of you to manufacture an item with such a hurtful message. It’s like handing a suicidal person a loaded gun. You should know better.

I sincerely hope that next time you decide that making fun of serious issues is comedic, or ‘snarky in a cool way,’ that you rethink your decision.

With Sincerity but NO respect,

Sophia Bush

Here is my letter, in defense of all of us who have ever looked in a mirror and felt less than fabulous…

She is right. There is no reason for a clothing company to support anorexia. I mean look at the model, she looks coked up and anorexic. As a male I cannot stand clothing companies either. I am tall and average built. The problem with places like American Eagle and stuff like that is that their XL are actually mediums. It makes me sick. I can fit in XL or L in most places, then some of these places they are twice as small. It makes me sick and feel like crap.

Sophia Bush and Austin Nichols
Keeping track of some of our local stars here in Wilmington, NC. Right now, the beautiful, Sophia Bush and her boyfriend, Austin Nichols have been heavily involved in the Gulf Oil Disaster. One Tree Hill co-stars have been on twitter trying to get people to donate. Bush also released herself on Facebook in efforts to reel people in. They are supporting Global Green mainly.

The two went on a tour at the beaches of Louisiana to see first hand the effects of the oil spill. Twittering about how it is a lot worse then what we all think. Austin Nichols posted these pics on his facebook.

austin nichols facebook beach clean up

The police told us we could not help with this VERY DANGEROUS clean up process. We needed Haz-Mat training. Do you see any Haz-Mat suits or respirators? Another interesting fact. They put ONE shovel full of sand in each bag and tied it off!!

The two’s twitter pages have been gaining a large amount of followers lately because of the BP oil spill and how they are trying to help. I have not heard of too many celebrities coming to the aid of this disaster, and it is great to see these two who have local ties helping out. If you would like to help and support these two you can donate at: Global Green

hulu
Well it’s official people. Starting next month Hulu will be charging you $9.95 a month to watch their once free television shows. Some shows like Glee, SNL, and Lost will still be available for free since they are so highly rated. Most other shows though will not be accessed unless you pay the monthly fee.

Hulu has complained they have not made as much profit as they would like off of their television shows from advertising. Majority of the people who use Hulu are under the age of 35.

Hulu, this is why your business model is going to fail. People under 35 barely pay for music as it is, why would they pay for television. Secondly, I will go the the network’s website and watch the episodes for free before I would come to Hulu and pay. I enjoyed Hulu because it kept shows organized for me, but with high speed internet I am willing to take an extra 10 seconds to click to another page and watch it for free. Hulu should put up maybe one more ad before they try this method. This method is going to fail and Hulu will lose a lot of money. They will see that after 4 months that their profit has drastically dropped they will go back to the free model. You do not give away something for free and then charge people. That is not good business practice on Hulu’s part. If i’m paying $9.95 a month there better be no commercials either on any website or video i’m watching.

Hulu commiting suicide

spirit-airlines
Airlines have recently been adding a bunch of extra stupid charges. It started with the check-in baggage charge, which is just terrible. It is unethical and should not be done. If you look at all the airlines Southwest is doing the best and that is because people get their first check-in free and the second is charged. I think other Airlines should follow, not become worse.

Spirit Airline is now charging you to take on carry-on bags now too. They are charging $25-$45 per a bag. Soon people will not be able to bring any clothes on their trips because of the large amount of charges. It is a shame that the airlines are becoming so greedy. The airline says if they charge this it will allow the ticket prices to be low, but what is the point when you automatically have to tack on an extra amount of money after you buy the ticket. Airlines have done worse since they have started these charges, and there is a reason for that. It is now cheaper to drive to destinations than it is to fly. Now Spirit is not the greediest airline, that will be going to an Ireland airline company. One airline is now going to be charging people to use the bathroom on the plane. You believe that? If you have to piss or shit, you are going to have to pay money. Who knows, maybe $5 to pee, and $15 to poop.

Anthony Stancl
In Wisconsin a teen was convicted of using Facebook to blackmail dozens of classmates into sex has now been sentenced to 15 years of prison. The judge said the maximum penalty was being sought, and was up to 30 years of prison. At only the age of nineteen, Anthony Stancl of New Berlin, was sentenced to 15 years of prison yesterday.

He pleaded no contest to two felonies, including sexual assault of a child. He did apologize for his misdoings, but that was not good enough. Stancl posed as a girl on Facebook and tricked more than 30 other male classmates into sending him naked photos of themselves so he could then use them for blackmail for sex. This kid is about crazy but I love it. Now, it is a bit creepy that he was blackmailing them for sex. I would feel even better if this was about him being picked on and him getting back at the bullies, but it’s just about him wanting to have sex with male classmates.

It just shows how messed up our children of today are. Social media has allowed our young children to expose themselves to the world. Parents are the main ones at fault for not monitoring their children. Correct parenting would teach kids that things like this are bad, and not to be getting naked on computers. People are just plain stupid.

15 years for Facebook Sex Scam

No biggie
Is America going too far with the recall of Toyota vehicles? Yes, 19 deaths were possibly associated with the gas pedal problem. Toyota is roughly recalling 8 million vehicles back into their shops to repair the gas pedal problem. The problem is that the accelerator may stick to the rug. Then, it may turn out that is not the problem at all. It is being played over and over again on the news warning people of buying Toyota vehicles.

I believe this is a conspiracy by the American automakers to try to get one of the top-notch vehicle companies to fall. Toyota’s business is suppose to drop roughly 11 percent this past month. The market share in Toyota is expected to be it’s lowest since 2006. Now, the American car makers are hoping to capitalize on the hardship of Toyota. It is the only way that American cars can say they are better. The gas guzzling companies that produce crap cars that usually go bad after 100K miles, will be happy if Toyota falls. I believe this is a huge setback for Toyota, but to have one major fault in all these years is not bad. How many problems have we seen with American made cars? So many we cannot count.

America making big deal out of recall

During a recent filming of a documentary a U.S. filmmaker, Dan Woolley could have died if it was not for the help of his iPhone first-aid app. The first aid app was able to help Woolley treat his wounds. The filmmaker was crushed by a pile of rubble and used his digital SLR to light up the area and took refuge in an elevator shaft. There he used the app to learn how to bandage and tourniquet his leg and to stop the bleeding from his head wound. The app told Woolley not to fall asleep, therefore set his alarm on his phone every 20 minutes.

In 64 hours a french rescue team save Woolley. The iPhone was able to turn Woolley into an amateur medic. I am sure now that Apple will try to use this wonderful story and turn it into a commercial. I sure know I would. Be safe, go with Apple.
