Recently though Romney has been getting attacked for his bullying in high school and a supposed bullying of a gay teenager. Now, in all honesty this is just a smeer campaign. I would like to hope that he has changed and I am sure he has. He obviously hasn’t changed too much though as he is still a bigot against gays.

Now getting to the main point of all this bickering of mine. The almighty Bristol Palin did not like the news about Obama speaking out and for gay marriage. She went on a rant on her blog and titled her post as “Hail to the Chiefs – Malia and Sasha Obama.”

Here is what it had to say:

Is anyone really surprised by the fact that President Obama came out of the closet for gay marriage? What was most surprising is when he explained how his position (supposedly) “evolved,” by talking to his wife and daughters:

“It’s interesting, some of this is also generational,” the president continued. “You know when I go to college campuses, sometimes I talk to college Republicans who think that I have terrible policies on the economy, on foreign policy, but are very clear that when it comes to same-sex equality or, you know, sexual orientation, that they believe in equality. They are much more comfortable with it. You know, Malia and Sasha, they have friends whose parents are same-sex couples. There have been times where Michelle and I have been sitting around the dinner table and we’re talking about their friends and their parents and Malia and Sasha, it wouldn’t dawn on them that somehow their friends’ parents would be treated differently. It doesn’t make sense to them and, frankly, that’s the kind of thing that prompts a change in perspective.”

Let’s pause for just one second. When Christian women run for high office, people inevitably bring up the question of submission. Once, Michele Bachmann, for example, was asked during a debate, “As president, would you be submissive to your husband?”
People automatically assume that a Christian female President isn’t capable of making decisions without her spouse’s stamp of approval. (I should add female Republican candidates –liberal women don’t get the same kind of questions.)

So are all those reporters who feared excessive family intervention in the White House all up in arms over the President’s announcement yesterday? Um. Not quite. Liberals everywhere are applauding him for his bravery and his wisdom.

So let me get this straight – it’s a problem if my mom listened too much to my dad, but it’s a heroic act if the President made a massive change in a policy position that could affect the entire nation after consulting with his teenage daughters?

While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads. In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage. Or that – as great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview.

In this situation, it was the other way around. I guess we can be glad that Malia and Sasha aren’t younger, or perhaps today’s press conference might have been about appointing Dora the Explorer as Attorney General because of her success in stopping Swiper the Fox.

Sometimes dads should lead their family in the right ways of thinking. In this case, it would’ve been nice if the President would’ve been an actual leader and helped shape their thoughts instead of merely reflecting what many teenagers think after one too many episodes of Glee.

Oh, Bristol. Your post was such a good laugh. Bristol and her family are known to be highly conservative and prejudice against gays. First off Bristol is one of the largest hypocrites. As I read over her post it seemed a bit of it has been edited since I was able to edit it. It originally stated that kids should be raised by a man and woman. It made it so funny to think that Bristol posted that. Excuse me Bristol, where is your baby’s daddy?

She then goes off on the show Glee, pretty much stating that if you watch that show then you will automatically turn or like gays. I mean come on. You are born gay. You aren’t all the sudden slapped with a gay stick or catch the gay disease. How ignorant can one be. It is thinking like hers that disgraces this country.

Local newspaper, Starnews states:

In New Hanover County, several poll workers raised questions after reading the amendment’s wording, complaining that it was hard to understand. This placed poll workers in a tricky situation, several officials said, as they are prohibited from advocating a particular position.

“The problem is they can’t wait until they get in here to ask because poll workers must remain neutral. We cannot discuss anything with them of a political nature of any kind,” said Marie Ashworth, chief judge at the New Hanover County Senior Resource Center polling place.

Majority of people were just ignorant to what this law could really do to people. It creates a law voiding other types of domestic unions even between man and a woman. The Republican party and radical christians kept stating the gay side, which in NC gay marriage is already banned. Now the problem here is that couples who were married through common law and other methods will lose their insurance benefits. Their kids will lose their insurance benefits too. Another problem is lets say a couple was married by common law and then one has a protective order against the other. Well now those orders are voided and the person can now go after them. It also will affect child custody battles and prosecution of domestic violence.

The rednecks and christians of this state have set this state backwards about 60 to 70 years. The economy will most likely decrease due to the nature of people seeing that our state is full of ignorant and uncivilized people. NC had a chance to shine and not join in other bigotry states like Florida and Ohio. Currently there are 38 states that have prohibitions on same-sex marriage and only six civilized states and the District of Columbia that approve of equal rights. Only three states now have Amendment One.

The crazy thing I have seen is that this amendment is being vote “for” by a large amount of the black community. It happened in Ohio, Florida, and now here in NC. Out of all people I would believe they would want equal rights for people? I am ignorant on this topic of why they would want this amendment pass, so if anyone has answers for me I would love to hear.

Now lets get into these crazy radical christians out there who believe everyone should follow their god. First off, a little about me. I was born and raised Catholic. After years of going to church I felt that all the religion cared about was money. It was then when they start preaching politics and hatred that I really felt that I am not interested anymore. I was also very bored with it all. I mean the fact that people base their lives on a book that was altered so many different times just blows my mind. Do I believe that Jesus was a real man, yes.

Now here is the thing these crazy christians are about as bad as radical muslims. The hatred they spew from them is absolutely terrible. They state that we should all follow the bible. The bible states marriage is between man and woman. It also states that we should have slaves. Deuteronomy is also preached which states that if a woman is raped she must marry that man. It also states that if a man marries a woman who is not a virgin she will be stoned to death. I mean come on christians, why not go all the way with your bigotry ways?

I really would like to know what people were thinking and what caused them to hate so much.

Cooper retaliated by stating he feels that Limbaugh and him are best friends now that Cooper wasn’t called a “slut.” Cooper then went to point out that if Limbaugh would do his research he doesn’t really have time with all that since he has three jobs.

In my opinion Limbaugh should focus on getting his career back or some of his listeners. He has no credibility with what comes out of his mouth. He needs to research topics before speaking instead of saying ignorant things. People like Limbaugh give our country a bad name, it sets us back years when he opens his mouth. He is one of the most uncivilized people I know.
